The Silent Auction

Thame Art Crawl is excited to be supporting the vital work of the Red Kite Family centre this year by running a Silent Auction. More details about each of the pieces of work will be uploaded to our dedicated Silent Auction page as we receive them. They will also be available to view in ‘real life’ at Thame Museum from Monday 10 October – Friday 14th October between 10am and 4pm. If you would like to make a bid you can do this at Thame Museum where you will find full instructions on how to do so. You are able to place your sealed bids there until 4pm on Friday 14 October. Successful bidders will be contacted on Friday evening and invited to a ‘meet the artist’ event to collect their artwork taking place on Saturday 15 October

Sandcastles by Kay Sentance

People living in South Oxfordshire are the furthest distance away from the sea on the island of Britain. As a child, Kay spent many happy hours building sandcastles that were then inevitably reclaimed by, either the sea, wind or someone stamping on them. The Sandcastles project returns a memory most people can relate to in some form and one that is mostly associated with happy, carefree family holidays. Sandcastles in an ‘alien landscape’, far from a beach, aim to provide playful reminders and surprising chance encounters between the sandcastles and the public. See if you can spot these popping up throughout the event.
